Our Promise & Code of Conduct
The Alchemy Code
A space built on curiosity, consent, communication, kindness and care.
The Alchemy Promise
The Alchemy was created to be a space where you can slow down, explore, connect and experience pleasure with intention.
We believe the best experiences are built on curiosity, consent, communication, kindness and care.
You don't have to perform here. You don't have to prove anything. You don't have to know exactly what you want before you arrive.
Come curious.
Explore at your own pace.
Communicate openly.
Respect your own boundaries and those of others.
And leave a little room for the unexpected.
We call this The Art of Intentional Pleasure — being present enough to notice what feels good, curious enough to explore it, and thoughtful enough to create an experience that feels good for everyone involved.
The Alchemy is yours to enjoy. Please leave it as somewhere you would want to return to.
The Way We Behave
Curiosity without entitlement. Pleasure with intention.
The Alchemy is a private, self-contained space. We aren't here to police what consenting adults choose to explore behind closed doors. We do, however, set an expectation for the kind of environment we want The Alchemy to be.
Consent comes first.
A yes should be freely given, informed and enthusiastic.
A no is enough.
Consent can change at any time, and agreeing to one thing never automatically means agreeing to another.
Ask rather than assume. Check in. Listen to the answer.
Boundaries create freedom.
Everyone has their own limits, desires and comfort zones.
Respect them.
Nobody owes anyone access to their body, attention, participation or intimacy.
Changing your mind is always allowed.
Be curious, not entitled.
The Alchemy is a place to explore. Try something new. Ask questions. Have conversations. Discover what you enjoy.
But someone else's experience is not automatically an invitation into yours.
Ask. Don't assume.
Kindness is sexy.
Treat people with dignity, whether you're playing, talking, watching, experimenting or simply sharing the space.
We expect our guests to behave with respect towards one another and towards the wider community in which The Alchemy exists.
Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, coercion, unwanted touching or behaviour that deliberately makes another person feel unsafe has no place here.
Privacy is part of consent.
What happens in The Alchemy belongs to the people who experienced it.
Don't photograph, film or share identifiable information about another person without their explicit permission.
That includes sharing stories online that could reasonably identify someone.
Look after each other.
Know your limits. Communicate. Check in.
If you're exploring something intense, agree boundaries and signals beforehand.
If someone says stop, stop.
And remember that aftercare is part of the experience too — whether that means conversation, cuddles, water, quiet or simply giving someone some space.
If something goes wrong, tell us.
We understand that people are human and experiences don't always go perfectly.
If something happens during your visit that concerns you, we want to hear about it.
Any concern reported to us will be taken seriously and considered appropriately.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include asking someone not to return to The Alchemy, ending future bookings, or where appropriate, reporting serious matters to the relevant authorities.
We cannot see what happens inside a private booking — but we will listen when something is brought to our attention, and we will act where we can.
The Way We Use The Alchemy
Enjoy it. Explore it. Look after it.
The Alchemy is designed to be enjoyed. Things may move. Things may get messy. Things may get used. That's part of having a space designed for pleasure rather than simply looking pretty. We don't expect it to remain untouched. We do expect a little care.
Use things for what they're made for.
Furniture, equipment and amenities are there to be enjoyed, but please use them sensibly and for their intended purpose.
If you're unsure how something works, ask us rather than improvising.
If you move something, put it back when you're finished.
If you bring your own equipment, you're responsible for using it safely and for taking it home with you.
Protect the beautiful bits.
We know that pleasure can sometimes be gloriously messy.
For anything involving oils, wax, dyes or substances that could stain or damage fabrics and furnishings, please take appropriate precautions.
Bring your own splash blankets if you have them, or ask us about adding a protective sheet as a spicy extra to your booking.
Please don't use anything likely to permanently stain, melt, perish or otherwise damage the furniture, upholstery or linens.
And if an accident happens? Tell us. Really. We'd much rather have a conversation than discover a surprise after you've gone.
Things break. Things wear.
The Alchemy is a living, working space. Things will occasionally get knocked, broken or simply become a little tired with use.
We genuinely care about the guest experience, so if something isn't working properly, looks damaged or seems to be getting worn, let us know.
We'll do our best to sort it during your stay where possible. Your message helps us keep the space lovely for you — and for whoever comes next.
Leave it loved.
Please clean up after yourself.
Dispose of waste appropriately, clean any equipment you've used and leave the space reasonably tidy.
You don't need to make it look as though nobody has ever had fun in it.
Just leave it in a respectable state for our housekeeping and cleaning team to get it ready for the next adventure.
The boring-but-important bits
Check in. Check out. Have fun in between.
Please arrive and leave at your agreed booking times. Check-in and check-out times allow us to prepare the space properly between guests. Need a little longer? Ask us. We'll always do our best where availability allows.
Lock it up.
The Alchemy is private, but privacy depends on everyone doing their bit. Make sure the main door is securely locked. Close and lock windows when you leave and return keys as instructed. Let us know immediately if a key is lost or anything relating to the security of the property isn't right.
Remember our neighbours.
The Alchemy is part of a shared building. Our neighbours didn't necessarily sign up for our particular flavour of fun - so let's be considerate. Please keep noise at a reasonable level and quiet hours begin at 11pm. After which, keep music, voices and other noises considerate of the people around you. Please avoid congregating in communal areas or drawing unnecessary attention to the apartment. Our neighbours deserve the same peace and privacy that we want for you.
Leave a little magic for the next person.
Before you leave, take a moment to think about the person coming after you — whether that's another guest, a professional using the space, or one of our cleaners. Please be safe, sensible and considerate in how you use The Alchemy, and leave things in a condition that you'd be happy to find them. A little thoughtfulness goes a long way, and helps us keep the space beautiful, welcoming and ready for the next adventure.
The Alchemy isn't supposed to feel like a list of rules. It's supposed to feel like freedom with consideration.
We want you to explore.
We want you to laugh.
We want you to experiment.
We want you to discover something new.
We want you to have the kind of experience that makes you think: "I want to come back."
All we ask is that you help us make that possible.
Be curious.
Be intentional.
Be kind.
Look after each other.
Look after The Alchemy.
